Today, I gave a lecture on the “Future with AI” here at LTU for a few guests and employees.

I think I could teach them something new and inspire them, but in the end, we ended up with the usual question: what should we, the humans, do in the future when AI takes over much of our work?

We concluded, though, that as government employees, we are safe until retirement, given how slowly our respective European governments move.

In my head, the most important question right now is: what should we teach at Luleå University of Technology? I.e., what should a Master’s Student who comes out of our university, in e.g., the Computer Science area, know in 2031 when they are finished here? My unfortunate conclusion is that what we teach here will be totally outdated in 5.5 years, when our new students have finished their education. What are your thoughts?
