My Day

For the first time in several days it felt like I had some energy and I think it has to do with the Haikus I discovered yesterday. Everytime I write one I feel all pepped up and ready to go and do something usefull. I cleaned up most of the kitchen and then I went out for a bike ride and ended up on a field next to Björkskatefjärden trying to write a haiku and reading some. Next I went to “after work” for the first time in several months. Had a pizza and when I got home I talked a bit with Johanna and then chatted with her for a over an hour. Nice.

Haiku: Nightly Cravings.

Like a light in the night

the cravings for food come silent.

The sandwich fills me.

Ps. I just realized this one does not have a season word in it, but I like it as it is anyhow.

Haiku

I just wrote my first Haiku:

Johanna in the sun
glows in the most lovely way.
I love you dearest.

Haiku is a form of traditional Japanese poetry, with strict rules on the how the poem should be composed. In brief a Haiku has to contain 17 syllables divided into groups of 5,7, and 5. The Haiku also has to contain one season word and the Haiku has to be cut in a certain way. Read more about the art of Haiku.

The End of the Day

After I posted my last message I started feeling much better. I had a nice chat with Johanna and Marcus sent me a very nice supporting email as well. Thanks!!
I spent the rest of the day watching movies and it is now time to end this day in preparation for a tomorrow. I have to get out some tomorrow and do something useful. Perhaps pull some weed in the strawberry garden or take a long bike ride.

Empty House

The house is so empty and everything is so pointless if you don’t have anyone to share it with. Johanna and Tovah are coming home in 10 days, 14 hours, and 53 minutes. I still haven’t unpacked everything from the holiday in the mountains. I feel really miserable.
The party last saturday was nice, we ate nachos, sang songs, grilled and played games but unfortunately around 23 I started feeling lonely and depressed and a bit sick. I had planned to stay the night, but left with Sofie, Rotax, Erik and Sonja around 2:30. During sunday I at least unpacked all the non-food items, but got stuck watching movies until 02:00. Today I have only watched movies. I don’t even have strength to go and check the mailbox.
By the way. I got a lovely letter from Tovah yesterday:
“ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Day 6

Our last day in the mountains we spent fishing and just being lazy in the sun. We went to my favorite fire place just below “the hat” a few kilometers from the cabin. We fished for about 1 hour but the weather was too good and all the fishes were sleeping. Lunch was grilled sausage and Tom Yam soup with noddles. Hot hot hot, both the food and the weather. We got back to the cabin around 16.40 and started packing and cleaning the place. I had the cabin for another day but me and Jalle are going to a party today (saturday) in Bölebommen where we have to be at 16.00. That made it a bit tight to pack, clean the cabin, take a 5 hour drive, change for the party and get down to Bölebommen before 16.00.
In Kiruna I got the munchies for a pizza and we stopped next to OBS. The first pizzeria closed at 20.00 and the other couldn’t made any pizzas due to the chef had hurt his hand. I ended up with a souvas kebab. Very boring and very overpriced. The place was Bar E-10 in Kiruna and I cannot recommend the place to anybody. Grade: -2 (i.e. minus 2)!!
Got home around 00:15. Some quick unpacking of the food, rescuing some plants and then trying to cool down the bedroom so I could sleep. The house was WARM.
This was the last day on our mountain trip and it was very fun indeed. I enjoy the company of Jalle although I missed Johanna and Tovah up there. This was the first time I had been to the mountains without Johanna for 13 years.
